RAC Pyrene extinguisher lamp, this piece may look similar but is actually slightly larger than the MINIMAX Pyrene lamp I also have listed, this completes the ‘unmatched’ pair as they look almost identical but are different.
These extinguishers are incredibly decorative and originally started being made way back in 1903, Minimax was purchased by The Pyrene Company Limited in 1955. Pyrene was taken over by Chubb Security in 1967.
So with both of these lamps you not only get a unique piece of functional decor/lighting you also get a mid century piece of automobilia.
